𝑼𝒓𝒃𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 – 𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑵𝑺𝑾 𝑰𝒏𝒄, 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒖𝒚𝒂, 𝑵𝑺𝑾
𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 is a special place on the South Coast of NSW. And now, working with the SAGE team to develop and implement a sustainable disaster-proof business plan, I see their tremendous contribution to the Eurobodalla community.
In 2009 a group of people passionate about growing a resilient local food system across Eurobodalla established the 𝑺𝑼𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑩𝑳𝑬 𝑨𝑮𝑹𝑰𝑪𝑼𝑳𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬 𝑮𝑨𝑹𝑫𝑬𝑵𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑬𝑼𝑹𝑶𝑩𝑶𝑫𝑨𝑳𝑳𝑨 (𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬). In 2021, the name officially changed to 𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑵𝑺𝑾 𝑰𝒏𝒄.
SAGE delivers in many ways to the community with a Vision “𝑇𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔, 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦.”

𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏:
𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 is a way to deliver important knowledge on sustainable living in Eurobodalla with topics from growing to cooking and everything in between.
𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕 food production is the bedrock of a strong local economy and essential for a resilient local food system. The award-winning market held every Tuesday afternoon in Moruya has had a significant positive impact for our local producers, making small-scale farming commercially viable once again.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎 was opened in 2020 to showcase sustainable agricultural practices. It helps to secure our food supply as a productive working farm and provides a service to the local community.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 (𝑺𝑺𝑭) 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 is at the heart of our mission to “grow the growers.” This program has produced a new vegetable grower for the community every year since 2013.
𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑺𝑨𝑮𝑬 is a volunteer organisation created and driven by members who live within our community. We couldn’t deliver on our vision without the commitment of time and energy our volunteers give us daily.
