Where Livelihoods Meet Conservation
Across southern Kenya, Maasai communities share their land with some of Africa's last great migratory herds. When women in these communities have reliable income, they're less reliant on cattle grazing in protected corridors — and better placed to lead conservation decisions themselves. Maasai Mammas backs women-led bead-working, dairy, and eco-tourism cooperatives that make that shift possible.
