Urban Rewild Supporters:
Gardens Heals Heart!
My name is Sharlene Cohen and the founder of Urban Rewild. In 2019 I saw my shire go up in flames in those nothing less than horrific bush fires. I have always been passionate about my environment and biodiversity, and the loss after those fires broke my heart, and I suffered Ecological Grief.
What I learned through my suffering was that my home garden healed my heart and those of many displaced critters after the fires. My garden and I became accidental heroes for life!! And It was an awakening to me that biodiversity and nature do matter. We take it for granted every day until it is taken from us. I decided that we have an opportunity and obligation to connect and harness nature at home and in our urban community spaces.
With my combination of business enterprise skills, community engagement, and love for our natural environment, it is time I convert this into making a real difference, so Urban Rewild was born from the ashes of loss.
We deliver online coaching programs, workshops, and webinars around the globe for anyone who wants to become part of the change-maker movement in greening urban landscapes. Big or small, it all matters.
Urban Rewild runs the GREEN Community Garden Coaching Program and inspires individuals and communities to create sustainable and productive community gardens and biodiverse green urban spaces. Our mission is to establish thousands of healthy, biodiverse urban gardens across the globe.
We see health care facilities having an enormous opportunity to transform their grounds into beautiful urban green community spaces for patients, staff, and the community.
